SUNDAY, 6/15 at 3pm -> Despite last Sunday’s rainy, 45 degree, bizarro world weather, June remains in full effect and that means there’s a ton of Summer birthdays to celebrate at Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends this Father’s Day weekend, with DJ Amen, Charley Cox, MC Big House, Karma Leigh, Donwill, Scotty C and myself celebrating, adding up to some certified Birthday Madness Goodness.

For the day’s soundtrack, me, DJ Amen and Von Pea & Donwill aka Brooklyn’s own Tanya Morgan will be on the turntables (with the odds that Don & Von rap a few verses being pretty high), bringing as much quality music as we can fit into one day on The Meadowlark’s beautiful patio. We’ve also got complimentary stadium style Goodness cups for the first 25 people to get drinks, as well as complimentary buttons for everybody! And as usual, Moontower Tacos will be making their incredible, uniquely tasty tacos to fuel the party.

Sunday, 6/1 from 3-10pm -> Last weekend’s double dose of Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends was crazy fun, with extra an wild Sunday going late followed by a mellowed out Monday Reggae vibe to close out a crazy busy weekend. This Sunday we’re back at it with special guests DJ B*Money (Crunk Brothers/former US DMC finalist) & Tew. (fka Spock Jenkins) joining me on the turntables for what marks two years to the week since I partnered up with The Meadowlark to launch Goodness with no clue of all the fun that was in store back in June 2011 (2 years/3 seasons as of now)!!!

For the celebration, Moontower Tacos will be making their delicious, one of a kind tacos as usual out front, plus we’re bringing in the gourmet ice cream sandwich wizards from Peteybird in to cover dessert!

Sunday, 5/25 -> It’s Memorial Day weekend and that means time for an extra big, double dosage of Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends, with parties on Sunday & Monday!!! Not only is there an extra bonus All Reggae Goodness on Memorial Day Monday, but the lineup for Sunday is extra big with my old tour buddy, Seattle/LA’s own Sabzi (1/2 of Made In Heights & 1/2 of Blue Scholars), joining me and Denver favorites Deejay SD & Deftron on the turntables for what promises to be an extra great day!

On top of 4 DJs, we’ll be welcoming special guest food truck and longtime Solution favorite, The Slider Shack out to give the party a cookout vibe for the day (don’t worry though, Moontower Tacos will be back for Monday’s bonus Goodness & next Sunday)!!

SUNDAY, 5/4 at 3pm -> Ahhhh yes!!! It’s starting to feel like Summer outside and that means it’s finally Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends time aka my favorite time of the year!!!!!! February’s All Dilla, Winter Goodness & March’s Austin Goodness during SXSW were both awesome days and through the magic of time flying, it’s time to kick things off in grand fashion for the Summer 2014 season on the Meadowlark’s incredible patio (2701 Larimer St).

Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends starts with exceptional music and to kick things off this Summer, I’m super excited to be bringing out the one and only DJ House Shoes, Detroit OG, current Los Angeles favorite and world renowned DJ’s DJ, for his Denver debut!!! Shoes was instrumental in breaking most every Detroit act from Dilla in the 90s to Black Milk a decade later, released the first single on infamous LA party staple the Do-Over’s record label and continues to rack up props for his dedication to pushing quality music at all times. In other words, he’ll be a perfect fit to join me and reigning WMS “best hip hop DJ in Denver” champ DJ Lazy Eyez on the turntables, as we run through everything dope under the sun throughout the party’s seven hours.

Also, we’re excited to be welcoming our friends Judith & Joe Fashion & Records mobile boutique back out to join the fun, we have ZenOne will be bringing some impressive top shelf samples of their upcoming line out as well (get excited, but don’t get too excited; they don’t drop til January 1, 2015) and last, but not definitely not least, we excited to welcome two of our favorite Denver artists, Joseph Martinez (fresh off of designing the artwork to Blu’s upcoming album) & Jaime Molina, down to do some some live painting, making things easier on all of our eyes and adding to the festivities!!!

SUNDAY, 2/16 from 2-10pm -> Every time the weather gets over 50 degrees on a Sunday I get text messages from people saying they miss Goodness and I basically respond the same way every time, “you think you miss it, that’s my baby! LOL”.  With that said, on Sunday, 2/16/14, for one day only, we’ll be bringing Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends back for a Winter, all J Dilla edition on the Meadowlark’s incredible, newly enclosed and of course, heated patio (2701 Larimer St).  With this Winter Goodness doubling as The Solution’s 8th Annual J Dilla Celebration, I’ll be joined by Lazy Eyez & DJ Spyda T.E.K. as we dig deep in the crates to bring you an 8 hour shift of Jay Dee classics, rarities, samples, b-sides and so on.

Official Solution photographer Knower Of The Ledge will be in the building snapping flicks and we’re excited to be welcoming our friends Judith & Joe Fashion & Records mobile boutique back out to join the fun. As if that wasn’t enough, Moontower Tacos will be back in the building, serving their insanely good food. The icing on the cake though, is that me and the cooks at Moontower are creating a special Dilla Taco that’s gonna be incredible (think about how delicious their chicken & waffle taco is for an example of how the magic of sweet, savory and spicy will play out), as well as some other tasty treats. Things are getting going an hour earlier than Goodness 2013, at 2pm, and we’re rocking til 10 at night. Turn it up!!! No Cover / 21+.

SUNDAY, 9/22 at 3pm -> Ah, parting is such sweet sorrow.  We all knew it was coming and it’s here, the last Goodness of Summer 2013.  With that said, Summer 2013 has been INCREDIBLE and trust, the party is going to close it out in grand fashion.  As always, the DJ lineup is extra dope, with me, DJ Forge (2-time Red Bull Thre3 Style NC Champ / Jukebox Heroes), Basementalism legend Inka One (Los Angeles / Boombox), 2013 Westword “best hip hop DJ in Denver” winner Lazy Eyez & a surprise guest blessing the turntables.

So yeah, you’re more than covered on music, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.  To commemorate another fantastic Summer, we’re having Gabe/Filthe come in to do complimentary bring your own shirt screenprinting.  What does that mean, you ask?  It meas you can bring in a blank shirt to the party and we’ll turn it into a fresh, Goodness 2013 tee on the spot, for free!!!  Yeah, that’s gonna be kinda dope.  There’s a lot more going on though, I’m gonna let the pictures help with the rest.
