SUNDAY, 7/14 from 3-10pm -> Big up to everyone who came out to last weekend’s Goodness; DJ Love showed us that the Denver OG hasn’t missed a beat, DJ Largechild saved one of his best sets for last as a ton of people of people came out to wish him farewell and the party was blessed by a surprise appearance from the man, the myth, the legend, DJ Chris Karns.

This Sunday I’m looking forward to having two more of my favorite DJs in town out to Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends.  Basementalism fam, b-boy favorite and club rocker DJ B*Money and musical genius, turntablist extraordinaire and Denver’s best kept secret Fast4ward.  B*Money is one of of the most thorough DJs in town and if you haven’t seen Fast4ward’s one of a kind live show, you haven’t seen the potential of the music that one man can make live.  It’s bound to be another great Sunday on the Meadowlark’s patio as we celebrate our homegirl Marissa’s birthday.  Moontower Tacos and Denver Dessert Trolley have us covered with incredible food, the misters are ready to go and if you want a seat, I recommend you get there early.  No cover / 21+.

SUNDAY, 7/7 at 3pm -> You already know the perfect way to wrap up your 4th of July weekend is some Summertime Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends on the Meadowlark’s patio.  This time around, we’re featuring special guests Denver vet DJ Love, & DJ Largechild, a Denver favorite who’s moving to LA in a few days.  That said, don’t miss your chance come celebrate one of the best DJs in town before he heads west for good and catch a Denver OG with extra deep crates making a rare guest set in the same day.

As usual, Moontower Tacos will be serving their incredible tacos and Denver Dessert Trolley will be blessing us with delicious treats on the patio.  Moontower’s brand new Chickita Taco, a combination of fried redbird chicken, refried black beans & homemade green chile, is this week’s special.  And speaking of special tacos, make sure to enter the Goodness Taco Contest below for a chance to win free tacos every Sunday all Summer.  Here’s how you can win:

Saturday, 7/13 at 10am -> Red Bull King Of The Rock Qualifier: Denver…

SATURDAY, 7/13 at 10am -> Join us at the Holly Square Peace Courts for Denver’s first Red Bull King Of The Rock qualifier. The winner gets $1000.00 and an all-expense trip to Alcatraz to compete in the world finals, where they’ll battle it out to win the title of “King of the Rock” and $20,000.

There are 64 spots available for the Denver qualifier. Registration is first come, first serve.
-Players must be 16 years old and up.
-Be there early to make sure you get a spot.
-Registration starts at 10AM and goes till 10:55AM.
-First game starts at 11AM.
-There is no fee to register.
Tournament games last five minutes and are subject to regulation hoops rules and scoring (two and three pointers).

This qualifier is open to amateur and pros alike, however players must be 16 years of age or older to participate. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the qualifier to sign a waiver. For 29 long years, more than 1,500 men dreamed of nothing but getting off of Alcatraz. But this year, hundreds will try to make it onto the island, with the goal of being King of the Rock.  First held in 2010, Red Bull King of the Rock is the only official sporting event ever held on Alcatraz and the first time basketball has been played on the hard concrete of The Rock since the inmates left the island more than 50 years ago. The tournament has grown from 6 qualifiers on the west coast in 2010 to qualifiers around the globe in 2013. Sixty-four contestants will emerge from the qualifiers and make their way to Alcatraz for the final showdown on September 28th, 2013.
Only the Hardcore Make it to Alcatraz, this is your chance to prove you have what it takes.

EVERY SATURDAY from 10:30am-2:30pm -> If you know me, you know I love food; so as you might imagine, I’m ecstatic to announce that I’ll be DJing at Zengo’s incredible Bottomless Brunch (1610 Little Raven St) every Saturday form here on out!  For $35 ($22.50 for food only) you get all endless cocktails and delicious small plates you can handle from one of the best restaurants in town while I spin all sorts of feel good music to make your Saturday a great one.  Everything they serve is drool-worthy, take a look at their incredible menu and see for yourself.

SUNDAY, 6/30 at 3pm -> The legendary So What! is Denver’s longest running party and inspired me to start throwing my own parties in the first place. When Peter Black retired last year and Denver OGs Big Styles & DJ K-Nee reached out to me to join the jazz/hip hop/soul/funk/house/world/etc party as a resident, I was honored. With that said, I’m super excited to welcome DJ K-Nee & Big Styles over to Goodness for an extra special Goodness x So What! collab that’s sure to be a day to remember.

Our misters are ready to go and a variety fresh agua frescas will be keeping us refreshed, Moontower Tacos & Denver Dessert Trolley will be serving us ridiculously tasty tacos & desserts, the vibe’s gonna be fantastic and at 10PM, we’ll be closing things out the party with a rescheduled Goodness Film Club screening of Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead. Gonna be another great one on the Meadowlark’s beautiful patio. Don’t front, just funk. 2701 Larimer St / No Cover / 21+.

P.S. Shouts to everyone that came out and rocked through the sporadic storms last Sunday as we saw the most rain ever at Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends while celebrating mine and a some of my favorite June birthdays and had an incredible day regardless. The vibe was so dope that a bunch of people held a tarp over my head (and under a soaked tent that started leaking) when the rain got crazy, just to keep the party going. A ton of my favorite people in Denver coming through for dancing in the rain and Mother Nature couldn’t stop us from having an unforgettable day. Thanks Denver!
