Wednesday, 1/22 -> POURTY w/DJ Low Key & The Color Dark, special guests Turner Jackson & Trev Rich plus more at Beauty Bar Denver! One of your last chances to catch Yonnas Abraham before BLKHRTS move to LA!!!

WEDNESDAY, 1/22 -> Time for second edition of POURTY (pronounced like party but extra hype, like it has “!!!” at the end) with the one and only Yonnas Abraham of BLKHRTS fame aka The Color Dark.  We debuted the party on Thanksgiving Eve to great results and we’re excited to build on them with two of Denver’s top MCs, Turner Jackson (Black Electric Love out now) & Trev Rich (Heights 3 out now), making special guest appearances.  Just like last time, we’re not stopping the party for the performances, at POURTY we’re only having cats rock straight up JAMS within the party, on some classic era MC & DJ hip hop shit and based on the first POURTY, it’s a great way to do things.  Last but not least, a reminder: POURTY isn’t just a hip hop party by any means, catch us rocking everything exceptional in music, from The Cure to Cashmere Cat, Kendrick Lamar to Prince, Sizzla to Thundercat (you get the picture, right?).  Expect intense fun at Beauty Bar Denver (608 E. 13th St), starting at 9pm.  Swing through after the Justin Timberlake show and balance out your suit & tie-worthy evening…LOL. / 21+ / No cover until 10pm, only $5 after.

P.S. In case you didn’t get the news, The Color Dark is Yonnas Abraham of BLKHRTS/Pirate Signal fame and with the group moving to LA next month, this is one of your last chances to catch a Denver great before he leaves town!!!

Then at 10pm, things continue on at Beauty Bar with our annual Soulstice Holiday Party, a longtime So What! tradition that’s always a fun way to close out the year. After 10pm, a five dollar cover kicks in; so come out early, catch the performance early and put that $5 towards a donation to Denver Children’s Home or good drink to get the night started.

P.S. In case you can’t make the party, live out of town or don’t have extra cash this month, it’s all good, please help spread the word and know that our efforts to help Denver Children’s Home are going all the way through Saturday, 12/21 online (and really longer than that, but we’re trying to raise at least $3,000, and hopefully a lot more, for them by our annual So What! Christmas party that night), so please feel free to donate whenever you can.

Friday, 9/6 -> The Solution w/DJ Low Key, special guests Sounds Supreme & DJ Dozen, Turner Jackson & Lindsey’s Birthday Party, the Friday night debut of The Meadowlark Kitchen & more…

FRIDAY, 9/6 -> With Lazy Eyez out of town on official Reminders DJ business this week (he’ll be back next Friday to celebrate his birthday), we’ve got some heavy hitting guests coming by to keep DJ Low Key company.  We’re welcoming extra special guests Solution co-founder Sounds Supreme and youngest in charge DJ Dozen (Welcome to the D.O.P.E. Game), as well as celebrating Denver favorite/the D.O.P.E. Game’s own Turner Jackson and our extra cool homegirl Lindsey’s birthdays.

As if that wasn’t enough, we’re ecstatic to announce that we’ll be featuring food from the test kitchen at the brand new Meadowlark Kitchen (official opening coming later this year) every Friday from here on out.  After a quick menu tasting, we couldn’t be more excited about the tasty food options we’ll be able to feature every single week, frequently changing based on what’s in season to always stay fresh and exciting.  If those weren’t reasons enough to come out to the hip hop party that’s “a testament to quality” (c) Westword, we don’t know what is.  21+ / 9pm / No cover until 11pm / Only $5 after.

SUNDAY, 8/5 -> Cocktails With The D.O.P.E. Game at Goodness w/DJ Low Key, DJ Dozen & DJ Squirt, hosted by Turner Jackson & Jeremy Pape… Plus, El Chingon tacos, D.O.P.E. Game cocktails, 50 free PBRs & more…

SUNDAY, 8/5 from 2-9PM -> This Summer just keeps getting better and better.  Last Sunday at Goodness was the busiest yet, our guests blessed the crowd with amazing music and the vibe was damn near flawless.  This week we’re keeping the wins coming and teaming up with one of my favorite crews in Denver, The D.O.P.E. Game, for cocktails, music and more fun. D.O.P.E. stands for Don’t Oppress Positive Energy and these dudes are full of positivity, as anyone who comes out to join us for cocktails will soon see.

For Cocktails With The D.O.P.E. Game, I’ll be joined by the crew’s DJ, DJ Dozen, as well as the one and only DJ Squirt; two of my favorite young DJs in Denver.  Your friend Teej aka Turner Jackson and Denver’s favorite videographer Jeremy Pape will be your afternoon’s hosts, along with the rest of the crew, who’ll be hanging out on the patio all afternoon and giving PBRs to the first 50 people that come out.  As always, El Chingon will be putting other tacos to shame with their delicious assortment of carnitas, shrimp tacos & culinary magic while the agua frescas stay be flowing (this week’s special is Agua De Limon so think extra tasty lemonade, then think about mixing it with the strawberry aguas and try not to drool…lol).  The misters will be in effect, the music will be top notch & the vibe bordering pure nirvana on the Meadowlark’s beautiful patio (2701 Larimer St), so come join us.  Last not least, we’ll also be celebrating Phill’s Broncos & Bronsolini Birthday Bash, so if you see some girls going wilds to an Action Bronson son, they’re with him…LOL. 21+/No Cover.
