Friday, 12/27 -> Judith & Joe Fashion & Records returns to The Solution w/DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez at The Meadowlark…Get decked out for New Year’s Eve and an extra 10% off coats…

FRIDAY, 12/27 -> After debuting at The Solution to great reviews on Black Friday, we’re excited to be welcoming Judith & Joe Fashion & Records back to The Solution w/DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez at The Meadowlark.  It’s a great chance to get decked out in some unique gear for New Year’s Eve, plus they’re taking an extra 10% off coats for the night.  Swing by, get fitted for NYE and party at “Denver’s best hip hop party” (c) Dear Denver. 2701 Larimer St / 9pm / 21+ / No cover until 11, only $5 after.

Tuesday, 12/31 -> New Year’s Eve w/DJ Low Key at La Biblioteca! Only $60 for bottomless drinks & apps, party favors and more at one of Denver’s best new spots (attached to Zengo)!!!

TUESDAY, 12/31 -> 2013 has probably been my best year of DJing to date and I’m excited to be wrapping up in great fashion at La Biblioteca, the brand new tequila “library”/lounge/restaurant/sister space to Zengo at 1610 Little Raven Street (check out pictures here).  I’ll be on turntables spinning all that goodness you love, but the music’s only part of the fun; for $60 a person you get bottomless small plates and appetizers, plus some party favors to bring the new year (reservations required, call 720.904.0965 / Also, if you have dinner at Zengo before, entry for the NYE party at La Biblioteca is discounted).  Based on last year’s New Year’s Eve at Al Lado (Zengo’s previous sister lounge), things should pretty crazy and end up fully-booked, so make sure you make your reservations early for one’s of Denver’s best NYE options.

More info on La Biblioteca from their web site:

Steps from the Millennium Bridge in the heart of Denver’s RiverFront Park neighborhood, La Biblioteca comes to Denver by way of internationally-recognized Chef Richard Sandoval. Modeled after Chef’s esteemed New York City concept, “the Library of Tequila,” serves up a collection of his personal favorite tequila selections and a menu of Latin-Asian chef inspired cuisine ranging from sushi, wok dishes to carefully-curated small plates, tacos, and salads.

Boasting one of the largest collections of tequilas, mezcals, and agave spirits in the nation, with over 350 to choose from, La Biblioteca is intimate, with a hint of mystery. Bottles align the walls — all organized in categories — and serve to support our library theme. You’ll find tequilas aged anywhere from seven days to 25 years, and we’re betting you’ll taste one you like.

As the evening ages, the tequila library transitions into a high-energy late-night lounge where you’ll “check-out” bottles of tequila instead of books and have them stored in your personal locker to sip on upon your return. Happy hour, dinner, viewing the game, late night cocktails- the Biblioteca experience is yours.

Salud y buen provecho!

After 10pm, a five dollar cover kicks in; so come out early, catch the performance early and put that $5 towards a donation to Denver Children’s Home or good drink to get the night started.

P.S. In case you can’t make the party, live out of town or don’t have extra cash this month, it’s all good, please help spread the word and know that our efforts to help Denver Children’s Home are going all the way through Saturday, 12/21 online (and really longer than that, but we’re trying to raise at least $3,000, and hopefully a lot more, for them by our annual So What! Big up the homie Scuba for sending me this pic and letting me know my name was mentioned in the incredible new RBMA For The Record book (as “Justin Green”, my government)!  Red Bull Music Academy is one of the best forces in the modern music scene and it’s been an honor to work with them over the years, so seeing something like this is just the icing on the cake.

Anyway, you should probably check it out.  Okayplayer called it their #1 must buy Black Friday item a few weeks back and said this, “1. For The Record coffee table book from Red Bull Music Academy: You are already familiar, perhaps, with Red Bull Music Academy’s steez. They have now translated that steez into a deluxe coffee table book: “a collection of conversations between 36 of music’’s true masterminds.” That list happens to include a who’s who of music-creators we are actively obsessed with here at OKP, including (but not limited to Erykah Badu, Nile Rodgers, Metro Area, Lee “‘Scratch”’ Perry, Just Blaze, Buraka Som Sistema, Sly & Robbie, Paul Riser (of Motown)…& more!  For The Record went on sale Monday in the U.S. for $39.95 in certain specialty bookstores, music shops and in the Gestalten online shop.”

P.S.  RBMA 2014 is right around the corner, head over to RedBullMusicAcademy.com to get more info on the 2014 Academy in Tokyo, Japan!

The Solution is on Instagram & we’re adding an official photographer to the team! Introducing Armando aka Knower Of The Ledge!!!

If you’ve been following the party for a decent amount of time, you know that we rarely add anyone to the team.  Over the years, the party’s roster has included resident DJs Low Key, Lazy Eyez & Sounds Supreme, official/infamous bartender Jessica and the young homies DJ Dozen & B-Money during The Solution Boulder’s short run (also, huge shouts to honorary members like the cats at Family Affair, Akomplice & Denver Frank).

On that note, we recently made a HUGE addition to the team that we’re excited to announce and his name is @KnowerOfTheLedge aka Armando aka the first official Solution photographer!  He’ll be documenting all of our fun times at the party, and he’s already off to a great start. Take a quick minute to head to his Instagram page to get familiar with his work and see why he’s one of our favorite photographers in Denver, then head over to our Instagram page at @DenverSolution to see what we’ve been up (make sure to follow both, obviously)!  Also, make sure you check out even more great party pics from Armando in the galleries on our Facebook page!!!
