That’s me asking the great question (thumbs up worthy, according to Bobbito; yeah I’m on my fanboy shit…LOL) right at the end of a Red Bull Music Academy couch session with NY legends/radio icons Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia in San Francisco earlier this year (that’s me at 1:31:50 to be exact, my government is Justin).  More importantly, the in-depth interview with Chairman Mao goes way deep into history of their show, which was named the best hip hop radio show of all-time in the Source (back when the Source mattered) and is a must see for any hip hop head.

El Chingon Mexican Bistro x Goodness Menu for Sunday, 7/8/12 at the Meadowlark…Tacos De Pato is the special this week, Camarones Chingones are back & a new vegetarian option!

Menu for SUNDAY, 7/8 -> I said it before and I’ll say it again, Goodness teaming up with El Chingon is an epic food win for everybody involved.  At our first party together last month, Chef David Lopez (aka DJ Psycho) and crew sold a few hundred tacos on the Meadowlark’s patio (2701 Larimer St), adding a ton of new fans to the Cult of Chingon and taking the party to the next level.  This week’s menu subs in the wildly popular Camarones Chingones (jumbo shrimp) tacos for Carne Molida (ground beef) tacos as a permanent menu item, adds a vegetarian option with the Tacos Fresco and features Tacos De Pato (roasted duck!!!) as the special.  After inhaling a pair of delicious Carnitas Tacos and a pair of excellent Camarones Chingones Tacos last time around, I can’t wait wait to try the rest of the menu and start picking favorites.

SUNDAY, 7/8 from 2-8PM -> After two great parties in our first month, tons of people have been hitting me up about the latest installment of Goodness and me and special guests Es Nine (producer for Prime Element & more) and DJ Discord of the Crunk Brothers are excited to break out the crates of wax to get Sundays off to a proper start with an all vinyl edition of the party.  Not only are we playing all wax, but DJ Discord’s gonna be playing a set of all Brazilian vinyl from his trips to South America on some truly unprecedented Denver ish that should be perfect for a Summer afternoon.  As usual, El Chingon will be slanging the best tacos in town (I heard rumors of a duck taco special), Agua Fresca Especials will be flowing and you already read about how you’re set on music at what Denver culture blog The 4th Door calls “the best patio party in Denver” on the Meadowlark’s beautiful patio (2701 Larimer St). EVERY SUNDAY afternoon from 2-8PM 2-9PM -> After great two outings to kick things off, Denver culture blog The 4th Door called Goodness “the best patio party in Denver” and by popular demand, we’re moving the party to Sunday afternoons and going weekly for the rest of the Summer, starting on Sunday, 7/8. We’ll still be featuring the same incredible drinks, even more delicious tacos by El Chingon, top notch music from myself and guest sets from some of the best DJs in Denver plus adding even more special events. Come check out the party and see why people have been raving about Goodness and the Meadowlark’s ridiculous patio (2701 Larimer St). Rain or Shine /// 21+ /// 2-8pm /// No Cover.

P.S. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the Meadowlark has added misters for those extra hot afternoons! Gotta love it!!!

EDIT on 7/15: We went ahead and added an hour to the party since we’ve been busy and weren’t kicking anybody out at 8, so now we go from 2-9PM.  We do have to wrap up at 9PM because of noise regulations in the neighborhood, but you can keep you night going at Fifty/50 w/me and bartender extraordinaire Jessica Simmons at Tryst, right down the street at 15th & Larimer (12 blocks down the street from the Meadowlark).

SATURDAY, 6/16 from 3-9pm -> Birthday madness round 1, this is gonna be epic.  The first time out, mad heads came out to Goodness on the Meadowlark’s patio (2701 Larimer) despite some pretty rough weather.  This time out, we’ve upped the ante like crazy.  First off, we’re bringing out Brooklyn’s own Tanya Morgan, on the turntables I’ll be joined by Sounds Supreme, Lazy Eyez & DJ Amen, El Chingon will be officially partnering up with the party and bringing ridiculous tacos, we’ll be celebrating the birthdays of Charley Cox, Denver Frank, DJ Chonz, DJ Amen, Monique M, Donwill & myself and since Family Affair’s fashion show from the first Goodness was rained out, we’ll be making that up too; should be a pretty awesome day.  Most of the patio is covered, so we’re rocking rain or shine/No Cover/21+.

In what can only be described as an epic food win, we’ve teamed up with El Chingon to bring their delicious tacos to Goodness on the Meadowlark’s patio on a regular basis.  Now you can get some tacos to join your agua frescas con Svedka and do things proper.

El Chingon isn’t just any old taco joint either, they’re a great family run spot, co-founded by longtime friend of The Solution and Radio Bum DJ Psycho aka chef David Lopez.  Everybody I know who’s been has left raving and Yelp seems to think they’re pretty great too. Take a look below and tell me those tacos don’t look incredible.  Get a taste on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month, starting 6/16.
