Starting Friday, 1/18 from 5-9pm -> Introducing w/DJ Low Key is moving to Fridays during happy hour at the Meadowlark…Kick off your weekends right with a fix of new music & new experiences…

Starting FRIDAY, 1/18 from 5-9pm -> Introducing w/DJ Low Key, my recently-launched weekly based around the idea of introducing you to cool new stuff and experiences, through music, people, food, art and a whole lot more, is moving from Wednesday nights to Friday happy hour at the Meadowlark.  It just seems right; instead of having to drag yourself out midweek to check out some fun, new stuff, you can stop by after work or before you head on a Friday night for some cheap drinks and whatever randomness I’m bringing in on a given evening.  We have some crazy good happy hour specials to get your night of good decisions going too:

$2 Domestics / $3 Imports
$3 Wells / $3.50 Select Calls
Special Winter Cocktails

Also, we’re bringing in green chili tamales from La Casita every week in case you’re hungry, fresh from work, or need a snack to kick off your evening.  With all said, consider Introducing your holdover until things warm back up for Goodness (I’m thinking early May right now, can’t wait for that!!!).  The patio is partially enclosed and heated, but the party is based inside the Meadowlark (2701 Larimer St) while it’s colder.  So now you know, every Friday evening I’ll be bringing something new and cool to the table, plus spinning a variety of music that will hopefully put you on to some new favorites.  Come through, check it out, you’ll be glad you did.  21+ / No cover / 5-9PM.

Sunday, 1/20 at 10:30 am -> Zengo Bottomless Brunch w/guest DJ Low Key…$35 for endless small plates & cocktails at one of Denver’s best restaurants…

SUNDAY, 1/20 from 10:30am-2:30pm -> Last month was great, from getting recognized as “the DJ from last night at Beauty Bar” to the GM getting hyped for D’Angelo songs to the ongoing requests from tables to turn the music up, and now I’m back again with another guest set at Zengo’s incredible Bottomless Brunch (1610 Little Raven St).  For $35 you get all endless cocktails and delicious small plates you can handle from one of the best restaurants in town (look at the damage me and Zengo resident, DJ Cyn did below) while I spin all sorts of feel good music to make your Sunday the highlight of your week.  Some of my picks are the carnitas hash, thai chicken empanadas, shrimp vegetable potsickers and acho bacon & eggs with a Zengo (blood orange/mango) mimosa, but the joy of bottomless brunch means you can try whatever looks good on their delicious menu.

Saturday, 12/15 -> So What Soulstice Holiday Party w/DJ K-Nee, Big Styles & DJ Low Key at the Beauty Bar…Plus, I’m honored to be joining the legendary So What! crew on an ongoing basis!!!!!

SATURDAY, 12/15 at 9PM -> I’m honored to announce that DJ K-Nee & Big Styles, the founders of legendary Denver party So What!, recently invited me to join the crew after Peter Black retired earlier this year.  Starting with the annual So What! Soulstice Holiday Celebration this month, I’ll be joining the So What! crew on a monthly basis in bringing you the party at Beauty Bar Denver (608 13th Ave) plus other fun stuff and I can’t wait. Free before 11 / $5 cover after / 21+.

If you’re not familiar with So What!, it’s a hugely influential and progressive Denver party that’s been running since long before I got my first turntables and happens to be a HUGE inspiration in me and Sounds Supreme creating The Solution and really every non-top 40-based night I’ve ever started. Founded in 1993 (!!!) by DJ K-Nee and Big Styles (known as DJ Style N. Fashion at the time), So What! quickly added DJ Aztec (Peter Black of Analog Space) and hostess Miss Dierdre to the fold and has come a long way since being launched as “An Evening of Acid Jazz” at City Spirit and dominating Tuesdays for over a decade at venues ranging from 9th Avenue West/La Rumba to Rise to Lotus and of course, Rock Island, the place where I first had my first So What! experience. More recently, So What! has evolved into a monthly at Beauty Bar Denver and I’m excited to be a part of the legacy. Last but least, take a second to like the So What! facebook page to stay updated as the tradition of exceptional music continues.
