First off, big up to everyone who came out for the Akomplice Season 6 Release/The 400’s First Friday Afterparty last Friday at the Solution. The entire roof was PACKED with people gettin down to some good hip hop (courtesy of me & Sounds Supreme), Akomplice came through with some ridiculous new gear & of course the crew from 400 and featured artist Path One came through. I’m sure some pics will show up soon. Anyways, on to the next shit.
This Friday, June 8th-> Come check out a special performance from Blu (of Blu & Exile/Sound In Color fame) plus chocolate fountain & more from Hip Hop Chocolates. After crushin’ guest spots on Exile’s critically acclaimed Dirty Science album, tracks with legendary producer J Dilla, collaborating with KRS-One and having his leaked album set the internet ablaze Blu comes to the Solution to show Colorado what all the praise is about. Come check things out this Friday and catch one of the best new MCs to drop in years (dude’s album is easily the best I’ve heard in 2007). Check out my Mixing In Action #2 mixtape and Blu’s myspace to get a taste of how great this album is. And, of course, me and Sounds Supreme will be keepin the rooftop sounding nice all night long with the best hip hop & more. Friday, June 15th-> Don’t miss my birthday party (as well as the good homey Shannon’s birthday/going away party) featuring performances from the almighty Tanya Morgan (their debut album, Moonlighting, was ?uestlove from the Roots’ #6 album of 2006) & the infamous Che Grand (of Fixtape fame, 6,000+ heads have been fixed in a little over a month, download it now if you haven’t already).
