THURSDAY, 4/23 -> My good friend DJ Check One aka Dameion Hines of FJP/Big Wheel fame is throwing a food & fashion show at Zen (9th & Lincoln) for his new Sound College Spring/Summer line that’s gonna be INSANE.  The show features 15 new t-shirt designs on models smeared with sugar and food makeup, myself, KDJ Above and Check on the turntables throughout the night, food courtesy of Appaloosa Grill, Sam Taylor’s BBQ and Lola & a performance by Big Wheel. The food and fashion concept challenges the hair and makeup team to use things like cupcake sprinkles, chunky peanut butter, marshmallow cream, powdered red drink, chocolate & more to achieve a high fashion look that has to be seen to be believed.

Also, the party’s gonna feature a silent auction of a dozen or so custom Sound College tees benefiting the Kempe Foundation (which helps prevent child abuse & neglect). Last but not least, there gonna be a red carpet entrance with several photographers, complete with interviewers commenting on the crowd’s style and the party itself. The dress code is high fashion, and each guy must be accompanied by a girl to enter, this is some serious shit!!! 21+.
