Big up everyone who came out to the Q-Bert show last week…Vinyl was packed with heads, the energy was dope and the b-boys were gettin down like crazy…

Q-Bert rocked ALL wax, ALL night…Gotta love that…

We had to rebuild the DJ booth using Red Bull cases & plexiglass to get everything setup battle style for Q…It’s not quite the Red Bull DJ booth but it worked fine for the night…

Me & the LEGEND himself…You couldn’t find a more down to earth legend in hip hop…

As the night was starting we caught a dope pic of some cats playing craps in the stairwell…So much flavor…

Q-Bert rocked a RIDICULOUS set of classic b-boy jams…dude put on a clinic for almost 2 hours…

Towards the end of the night, Q brought out DJ Quest as a special surprise guest. Quest proceeded to CRUSH the cuts for a few minutes before giving the tables back to Q-Bert.

Our good homey, Colorado’s own DJ Vajra (a frequent collaborator of Q-Bert’s) also came through and MURDERED the cuts and rocked some AMAZING juggles for the crowd…First while opening for Q and again when Q-Bert & Quest invited him up at the end of the night…It’s inspiring to see someone as talented and humble as Vajra get all shy when his hero/mentor/homey invites him up to scratch…

Last but not least, big up the girls from Les Nubians for coming through to hang out at Refresh Fridays…Gotta love the random cameos…Once again, thanks to everyone who came through and made the night so dope…We love y’all all…
