SUNDAY, 9/4 from 8:30pm-11:30+ -> Internationally renowned producer and 2-time Denver Big Tune winner Boonie Mayfield is finally dropping his official debut project, Black Koolaid, and I’m honored to announce that he’s gonna be holding the release party at Connected w/DJ Low Key.  As if that wasn’t special enough, Boonie is also gonna be making his live beat showcase debut!!!!!  But wait, there’s more, we’ll also have art premiers from the one and only Detour (of CO! Stand Up fame), black kool-aid drinks and complimentary fried kool-aid (yes, you read that right, FRIED KOOL-AID!!! #COHipHop Classic: Chill “Yenshee” from No Coast Line

The homie DJ Chonz recently posted up this Colorado hip hop classic from way back in 1994.  It appeared on producer/Radio Bums co-founder Hakeem’s No Coast Line album, along with some other #COHipHop gems.  Chonz called Chill the “Hands down #1 emcee out of CO” and after witnessing him freestyle in person and hearing joints like this and “Dying To Live”, I’m inclined to agree.  Anyways, the track aged well; take a listen and check out one of the best MCs to ever come out of CO.

Every Sunday Night from 8:30 – 11:30 catch me spinning at Connected w/DJ Low Key at the Hai Bar (downstairs at Sushi Hai, 32nd & Lowell in the Highlands). Every other THURSDAY from 8pm-12+ -> Me & DJ Amen are excited to announce that super dope artist Joseph Martinez (of Never Trust Robots 2 fame) is going to be joining us every other Thursday to paint live at our weekly at the Hai Bar (32nd & Lowell).  He did a ridiculous piece live on our launch night that had people gawking all night long and based on everything I’ve seen so far, expect to be impressed if you catch him in action at Listen Up.  No cover /// 21+

SATURDAY, 8/6 -> For one night only, Denver’s two favorite hip hop nights are joining forces.  The Solution is teaming up with our favorite hip hop party in town, the 90s House Party, to celebrate Lazy Eyez’s 2nd college graduation (he just wrapped up his master’s, like a boss!!!) at Tooey’s (Colfax & Marion).  Es Nine, DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez will be on the ones and two and we’ll be wishing Es Nine’s partner on the 90s House Party, Cysko Rokwel (as well as DJ Vajra), the best of luck in the US DMC finals.
