Boonie Mayfield aka Boon Doc:The Return…

YouTube Preview Image

Good to see the homie Boonie Mayfield back on his grind.  If you came out to Boonie’s Solution last month then you had a hand in getting dude’s studio back together, so pat yourself on the back for helping make music better.  Anyways, check out Boonie making a ridiculously dope beat step by step above, the classic Boon Doc video that blew up below and all his other videos on youtube, you’ll be glad you did (just like the millions who’ve checked them, yes, I said millions!!! Do your thing Boonie!!!)

P.S. Make sure you leave a comment and wish Boonie good luck in the Red Bull Big Tune National Finals in Chicago next month, he’ll be representing Denver alongside beat prodigy Xperiment and I’m sure they’ll make CO proud.

Friday, 10/15 -> The Solution w/DJ Low Key & Sounds Supreme moves to 3014!!!

FRIDAY, 10/15 -> Me & Sounds Supreme are excited to announce that we’re settled on a great long-term home for the best club night in Denver aka the Solution, at 3014.  3014 is a dope spot at 3014 E. Colfax Ave, a block east and across the street from the Bluebird Theatre, in a cool part of town where you’ll find all sorts of interesting stuff, including our friends the Shoppe (cupcakes & other treats), Plastic Chapel (collectible toys a la Kid Robot) and an assortment of boutiques, salons and dispensaries.  The venue has good sound, tasty food served all night long, a nice heated rooftop patio and we’ll be bringing our infamous bartender, Jess, along with us to complete the move (she’s the third member of the Solution, did you expect anything less?).  Our good friends over at Family Affair and Frank151 have helped us stock some gift bags for the 50 people to come in and you already know we’re gonna come extra correct with the music after our summer break.  $3 Stellas & $4 Jager Bombs all night.  21+/No cover/Music at 9.

Sunday 10/17 -> The Foreign Exchange – Authenticity Listening Party at Hapa Life w/DJ Low Key…

SUNDAY, 10/17 -> If you know me, you know I’ve been a big supporter/fan of the Foreign Exchange since day one (shouts to the Lesson!!!).  The Foreign Exchange aka Nicolay, Phonte and crew, have been blessing the world with beautiful music for years and their latest release, Authenticity, is another stellar album from the NC-based team.  With that said, I’ll be previewing the whole album at Hapa Sushi on 10/17 and giving away some CDs, posters & more to the FE fans that come out for the listening party.  The sushi chefs and bartenders at Hapa are also gonna create some special rolls and drinks for what promises to be a great night.  As always, I’ll be on the turntables, rocking jams from the entire FE crew (Nic, Phonte, Darien Brockington, Yahzarah, Zo, Median and so on) and we’ll feature the usual Hapa Life happy hour, complete with 2 for $7 rolls, $3.50 sake specials, 10% off for SIN & more.  All ages/No cover/Happy hour & music from 8:30-11/2nd & Detroit in Cherry Creek.

Last but not least, make sure to cop Authenticity; it’s well worth your hard earned money.  Find out where to buy the CD and/or MP3s at TheForeignExchangeMusic.com.

Thursday, 10/14 -> Loungin at the Lobby – Adult Game Night & Networking Event w/DJ Low Key…

THURSDAY, 10/14 -> It only goes down once a month, and Loungin at the Lobby is always a fun time.  A lot of familiar faces come out to catch drinks, friendly comp and good music, as well as get their asses kicked in Mario Kart courtesy of  DJ K-Tone (no joke, dude will get on the mic looking for worthy competition after he wins a few races in a row…LOL).  Anyways, Lounging At The Lobby only goes on every second Thursday of the month, so don’t miss it or you’ll have to wait a while to check the next one out.

P.S.  In case you missed it before, here’s the lowdown on Loungin At The Lobby:

I’ve been DJing at nightclubs for a living for almost a decade now and these days I get excited for events that are a little different than the standard night club fare (take Hapa Life for instance).  Well not too long ago, the good folks over at Bigg Dizzy hit me up about getting involved in their recently launched adult game night/networking events; we met, knocked out some specifics and I’m happy to be working with them on AGN. Just to clarify, we’re talking about adults drinking and playing games here, not adult game night on some adult movie night ish, LOL.

Anyways, there will be numerous games on hand, everything from poker to taboo to connect four to dominos to wii on a projecter to hungry hungry hippos and more.  Plus, we’ve got a dope collection of prizes too including a bar tab at the Lobby, gift certificates to a few local restaurants and more.   Also, we’ve got some complimentary snacks and a late night happy hour going with specials on food and drink, courtesy of the Lobby.  Last but not least, in case it’s not clear, I’ll be playing all the dope shit throughout the night to compliment your game playing experience, don’t miss it.  9:30 – midnight / $5 / Downtown at 22nd & Arapahoe.

Sunday, 10/10 -> Von Pea – Pea’s Gotta Have It Listening Party at Hapa Life w/DJ Low Key…

Sunday, 10/10 -> We’ll be previewing the official solo debut from Tanya Morgan’s own Von Pea at Hapa Life w/DJ Low Key.  I’ve already heard the album (being a rap group’s DJ has it’s perks…LOL) and it’s one of my favorites of 2010, plus IM Records is sending out some promo giveaways for the album as well.  And as always, catch everything Hapa Life is known for; the best in R&B and soul music, 2 for $7 rolls, $3.50 sake specials and more.  That’s dope music, hot sake and tasty sushi on the cheap, what more could you ask for?  Hapa Sushi in Cherry Creek (2nd & Detroit) /// 8:30-11 /// All ages.

The next couple of weeks are shaping up to be crazy…Lots of great stuff coming up, check it…

*Co-sign on everything the Bay-area homie King Most is asking for below* & *Co-sign on King Most’s “I Do” edit, download it below*

“Dear Mr. 3 Stacks: How has your summer been? I see that your buddy Antwan dropped an album recently. Do you mind dropping some FULL-LENGTH material before the year ends? If not, I’m going to have to keep taking these random one-minute leaks and adding some of your other verses to make them sort of resemble full songs. I know you creative types, but come on..at least blow our wigs back with a guest verse a la “Walk It Out” or the above, “Everybody”. Thanks King Most

.:Andre 3000 “I Do (King Most Edit)”:.

P.S. Congrats to the Braves & Bobby Cox on a return to playoffs!!!  And I don’t know if you’re a Giants fan or not Most, but if so, prepare to go down!!!!!
