Thursday, 9/9 -> Loungin at the Lobby – Adult Game Night w/DJ Low Key…

THURSDAY, 9/9 -> Last month’s Lounging at the Lobby was a great time. A lot of familiar faces came out to catch some drinks, friendly comp and good music, as well as get their asses kicked in Mario Kart courtesy DJ K-Tone (no joke, this dude got on the mic looking for worthy competition after winning 5 races in a row…LOL). Anyways, Lounging At The Lobby only goes on every second Thursday of the month, so don’t miss it or you’ll have to wait til October 14th.
P.S. In case you missed it last month, below is the lowdown on Lounging At The Lobby:
I’ve been DJing at nightclubs for a living for almost a decade now and these days I get excited for events that are a little different than the standard night club fare (take Hapa Life for instance). Well not too long ago, the folks over at Bigg Dizzy hit me up about getting involved in their recently launched adult game night/networking events; we met, knocked out some specifics and I’m looking forward to being involved in my first one on 8/12. Just to clarify, we’re talking about adults drinking and playing games here, not adult game night on some adult movie night ish, LOL.
Anyways, there will be numerous games on hand, everything from poker to taboo to connect four to dominos to wii on a projecter and more. Plus, we’ve got a dope collection of prizes too, including Rockies tickets, a bar tab at the Lobby, gift certificates to a few local restaurants and more.  Also, we’ve got some complimentary snacks and a late night happy hour going with specials on food and drink, courtesy of the Lobby (P.S. I just checked the spot out for the first time recently and it’s super fresh). Last but not least, in case it’s not clear, I’ll be playing all the dope shit throughout the night to compliment your game playing experience, don’t miss it. 9:30 – midnight / $5 / Downtown at 22nd & Arapahoe.
Thursday, 9/2 -> Boonie’s Solution w/DJ Low Key & Sounds Supreme…Fundraiser for Boonie Mayfield + Xperiment’s going away party + DJ Dozen’s birthday party + Producer Showcase at the Rex Lounge…

From DenverSolution.com: Thursday, 9/2 at 8PM -> We’re linking up with renowned Colorado producers Boonie Mayfield aka Boon Doc and Xperiment, as well as one of our good friend DJ Dozen, for a special fundraiser called Boonie’s Solution at the Rex Lounge (2936 Fox Street, by Coors Field & the Metro Apartments). One of favorite local producers, Boonie Mayfield, had his robbed back in May and we’re trying to pitch in on his studio rebuilding efforts.
The party starts at 8 with a producer showcase featuring Boonie, Xperiment, Stro, DJ Vajra, Kid Hum, DJ Psycho, Dealz, DJ Matt Cassidy, Fat Trak and several other premier local producers (to be announced here and on our twitter), followed by both of us and DJ Dozen (youngest in charge!!!) rocking the best in hip hop as the event switches into party mode. We’re also celebrating ridiculous beat prodigy Xperiment’s recent signing to Humble Beast (the label’s roster included some dope artists such as Othello, Braille and Theory Hazit) and his upcoming move to Portland; consider it his going away party. Last but not least, we’ll be celebrating our homie DJ Dozen’s birthday and well-deserved Solution debut. Entry is a minimum $5 donation with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Boonie to help rebuild his studio. Also, online donations can be made here. $3 Margaritas /// $2 Canned Beers /// $7 pitchers all night /// 21+.
Saturday, 8/21 -> Dwele, The Dazz Band, DJ Low Key & more at the Vail Soul Music Festival
SATURDAY, 8/21 -> I’m all sorts of excited to be joining the legendary Dazz Band, the infamous Dwele G, Lee England Jr, Jonathan Bryant and some of Denver’s top R&B/soul DJs in Vail for the first Vail Soul Music Festival. The festival goes all weekend long but catch me spinning on Saturday night at Larkspur for the official afterparty and also at Samana Lounge after that. I’d recommend you make a weekend of it; especially since one of the best soul musicians of my lifetime, Raphael Saadiq, will be headlining the festival on Friday night, alongside the lovely Chrisette Michelle and Liv Warfield. Hopefully I’ll see you up there, head over to VailSoulMusicFest.com or your local King Soopers for ticket sales and more info on the whole weekend.
