RIP Shelter…Long live the Solution…
I’m sure most of you in Denver have heard by now, the Shelter’s last night was Friday the 20th. The venue was one of the few bigger spots that supported “alternative” (i.e. not top 40) music, it’ll be missed. Over the last few years they’ve hosted countless hip hop shows (Questlove spinning, Slum Village, AZ, Jeru, Little Brother, J-Live, Blu, Median, Tanya Morgan, Che Grand & so on), some of the best house DJs in the world (Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, Derrick Carter & more) and of course dope weekly parties like the Solution with me & Sounds Supreme.
With that said, the Solution will continue on, we can’t be stopped or held down (c) Geto Boys, Mase and Puff. The last few months have been RIDICULOUS (big up everyone who’s been coming through, we love y’all) and we’ve already been gettin hit up with offers from places that wanna have us come in. We’re finalizing the final details on a new spot and we’ll be posting them real soon. In the meantime, check out some of the pics of the Solution in the galleries here.

Friday, 7/27->The Solution moves to Bar Luxe for Sounds Supreme’s Birthday
Don’t miss Sounds Supreme’s 23rd Birthday Extravaganza at the Solution on Friday, 7/27. It’ll be guaranteed insanity to say the least. With the Shelter closing we’re moving the party to Bar Luxe (downstairs at 231 Milwaukee, 2 Blocks North of the Cherry Creek Mall) for one night only. Me, DJ Amen (Radio Bums/Any Quality), DJ Bedz (Radio Bums/Denver Nuggets DJ) and Sounds (if he’s not too drunk) will all be spinning, the crowd will be cool as fuck, the spot is dope and there will be balloon animals, yep, balloon animals. No cover/Doors at 9/21+.
PS. Also, we’ll be announcing the Solution’s new permanent home at the party too (big things, trust).
