Take a second to vote Tanya…They’re final five in the running…
From the mouth of the good homey Donwill of Tanya Morgan/Ilwil ->
“please vote? please? you can vote once a day and the polls close on 10/4. if we make it to vegas i promise to play the slots, win big and buy all yall records and drum machines or something. lets goooo!”
Anyways, this would be a HUGE opportunity for TM, not to mention “Walk My Way” is a waaaaay better song that the other four finalists (big up Aeon on the beat). Speaking of Tanya Morgan, download my Mixing In Action #2 mixtape that they hosted here as thanks for taking a minute (or minutes if you wanna vote on a couple of different days) to vote. Thanks…
And oh yeah, the last time I had you vote, for fellow Radio Bum and Shag resident DJ Bedz, he won the contest with Pepsi and is now part of their national team, good lookin out and thanks again.

I’m workin on this blog for Basementalism…
So Basementalism hit me up to contribute to their blog and since my Saturdays are too busy to do guest sets on the show as much as I use to these days (sorry guys), I had to get down. I wrote my first entry last week and I’ll be adding more randomly from here on out so bookmark the page and stay tuned…
P.S. my Spitkicker blog is coming soon. It’s been taking a little longer than expected, but I’ve got some extra crazy concepts for it that should be worth the wait.
Time to cop Median’s Relief…And no, I don’t get paid off his album sales…
“Median’s Relief/will it ever hit the streets?” (c) The man himself…Well the world’s been waiting and Median’s debut album, Relief, is finally out…And the album is a monster, check out some of the early feedback and reviews here and here…Chances are that if you know me, then you’re familiar with Justus League member Median from the Relief In The Making mixtape we dropped with 9th Wonder a couple months back (25,000+ people have already downloaded it from here, check it out if you haven’t already) or my Mixing In Action #1 mixtape from early last year…In that case you know about dude’s RIDICULOUS talent and that his album is easily worth dropping twelve bucks for online or at your local independent/moms & pops record store/Angelo’s/Fat Beats/Best Buy/etc, so take a minute and pick it up…
It seems like the real heads have been supporting quality albums more than ever (Com debuting at #1/Blu & Exile gettin love on iTunes/Kanye crushing 50/Kweli dropping at #2/etc), hopefully you guys add Median to that list, his album is in the same class as all those I just mentioned…Anyways, enough talk, Median is one of those artists whose music sells itself, just listen…
Common calls the Solution “real hip hop in Denver”…
First off, I gotta shout out everybody who hit me up from the Common show all geeked last night. I was busy spinning at Shag (gotta pay those bills, speaking of which, come check out the spot sometime) when all of the sudden I get a whole bunch of text messages asking if I was at the show and saying that Common just announced that “the Solution is real hip hop in Denver”. Wow, just wow….my jaw dropped and I didn’t believe it until more people hit me up. One of my all-time favorite MCs, shouting out the hip hop night me & Sounds Supreme built from the ground up, fresh off a #1 debut, I still can’t believe it. Anyways, the point here is that if Com knows that the Solution is the real hip hop ish in Denver, then hopefully you guys reading this know what’s up too. And since most of you already know what’s up, do me a favor and tell a friend or two, thanks.

With that said, things are just getting going for the Solution w/DJ Low Key & Sounds Supreme at our new home, the Funky Buddha rooftop (partially enclosed and heated for all seasons, gotta love that). The crowd is amazing, the vibe is different than anywhere else in Denver and you know me & Sounds Supreme stay playin the best in classic hip hop & more every Friday night. Plus, there’s no cover, the drinks flow cheap, the girls who come out like Camp Lo and we’re about to turn it up (c) Dilla with some crazy events (you know how we do) and more. Come check us out every Friday night, you won’t be sorry. 21+/music at 9/776 Lincoln.
