Lupe Fiasco’s “The Coolest” video game plus some older Lupe & DJ Low Key video…

I know it’s been out for a while and I’ve been slacking on posting this, but Lupe made a cool little video game to promote his last album, The Cool. It’s basically a scaled down Double Dragon type game featuring characters from Lupe’s concept album. I wasn’t huge on the album’s concept (don’t get me wrong though, the album’s got a LOT of good music on it, I just didn’t love the Cool concept), but this game is a dope promo strategy that the hustler/marketing nerd in me loves. Plus, it’s a fun enough game to play a few times, check it out.
Also, while we’re talkin about Lupe, check out the footage of me DJing for him in Boulder in April of 2006, before his first album dropped (Tanya Morgan was at the show too, check out those clips on my myspace video page too). Read more

Tanya Morgan/Ilwil – Beat Thieves 2 Release Party Videos

Gotta shout out Janet for these three video clips from the Tanya Morgan presents IlwilBeat Thieves 2 Release Party w/me & Sounds Supreme at Vinyl’s Refresh Fridays last month (too bad she didn’t get any video of Tone Loc’s unexpected cameo…just joking…or am I?). Anyways, the feedback on the tape have all been overwhelmingly positive, download it for free in the mixtapes section if you haven’t already and leave me a myspace comment to let me know what you think.

Some rare Jigga tracks from the stash…

Seeing a rerun of the VH1 Jay-Z Reasonable Doubt special just now got me all hyped to post some random Jigga jewels from my collection. I tried to make sure I posted up some of the especially rare joints (not the rarest ones though, gotta keep some stuff to myself) that never came out on wax or got much shine on the internet, so hopefully some of it’s new to you. Big up the homey DJ Styles N Fashion (Radio Bums in this) for the rip of the Tat Money / “Fortified Lives” (!!!) freestyle with Hov & Bleek that’s probably the rarest joint out of the six.

“Tat Money/Fortified Lives Freestyle” w/Memphis Bleek

“Underground Railroad Freestyle” w/Natural Elements

“Can’t Knock The Hustle Freestyle”

“All About The Benjamins Freestyle” w/Sauce Money

“Hova Song (3 Verse Version)”

“S. Carter & Sycamore Outro” w/2 unreleased snippets & more

Another “Blu Collar Workers” Behind The Scenes Clip…Big Up Crash TV…

More behind the scenes footage from the Blu & Exile “Blu Collar Workers” video that I executive produced last month in LA, thanks to Crash TV (Blu has his own channel on there, check it out). The video is almost finished with editing and there should be an official release date for me to post up real soon.

Thursday, 2/28->Special guest set from DJ Vajra at the Solution w/DJ Low Key & Sounds Supreme

THURSDAY, 2/28 -> By popular demand, come check out a special guest set from the incredible DJ Vajra (4 time US DMC finalist/Procussions DJ) as he joins me & Sounds Supreme at the Solution on the Funky Buddha’s (heated/enclosed) Roof. Everyone who came out last summer was left in awe after Vajra rocked a dope party set and closed out the night with one of his world famous (literally, that pic above is from a sold out show of his in Japan) turntablist routines. Vajra loved playing with us at the Solution in his first time through and I’m sure he’s got some sick ish in store for this time, don’t miss it. 776 Lincoln St/21+/No Cover.
