So anyways, I probably should have mentioned in part 1 that the concept of the video revolves around Blu’s<\/a> (and Exile’s<\/a>) day to day life and interactions with women. Anyways, back to the shoot…<\/div>\n

After a long day and night of prep work, scouting locations, dealing with unexpected complications and a late night blog, day 2 started bright and early with… a two hour delay in renting a crucial lense we needed to start filming. Not being the type to waste time, we picked up a big box of free gear (big up Akomplice<\/a>, 10 Deep<\/a>, Estate LA<\/a> and Strictly Fitteds<\/a> for all blessing us for the shoot, thanks again) and the crew headed over to get things setup at our first location, Blu’s house and soon after the lense showed up.<\/div>\n

To quote one of the dudes on the crew “it looks like an art director already came through here”. Blu’s spot has mad flavor (you’ll see in the video), from the recording setup\/corner with taped up rhymes to his beatmaking setup (you didn’t know Blu had beats? Just wait…) to the retro decorations and classic fishing poles (!!!!!).<\/div>\n

Dominic Del Bene (of Tanya Morgan<\/a>\/LMM<\/a>\/ “The new gatekeeper” (c) Wajeed fame) was in town and stopped by the shoot to politic with me and offer some insight after Tanya Morgan’s GREAT “We Be” video<\/a>. We’ve got some nice little projects shaping up for 2008 (more on that later).<\/div>\n

Next stop, Chikara’s (from Giant Panda<\/a>, don’t sleep) Studio, where Blu & Chikara record and mixdown vocals to a new song before Blu has to rush out in a hurry.<\/div>\n

The studio was the last shot of day 2, so we called it a day and bounced to some bomb Mexican spot for dinner. With Dominic, Ro Blvd<\/a>, Free Speech<\/a>, Blu, the crew and a couple of cats joining us, I know some great music is gonna come out of that meal (and the drinks, word to Grand Ma Blu). Infamous hermit\/hater\/Basementalism<\/a>\/Procussions<\/a> DJ inka one<\/a> even made it out for the end of the meal, capping off day 2.
