SUNDAY, 7/6 from 3-10pm -> Last weekend’s Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends double surprise was a blast, big up everyone who came out and catch surprise guests Vikter Duplaix and DJ Largechild joining me & DJ Discord for a day packed full of a great music. We’ve got another three guests in store for this Sunday, with Solution co-founder Sounds Supreme, my favorite female selecta in Denver, DJ Izer, and DJ Pat Allen (aka DJ Boo Bear) joining me on the turntables for some Red, White & Blue Goodness over the Forth Of July weekend.

Moontower Tacos will be on block making taco magic and we’ve also got complimentary stadium style Goodness cups for the first 25 people to get drinks, as well as complimentary buttons for everybody!

Last month’s 7 events for The Solution’s seven year anniversary were ridiculously fun and we’ve got to give all the credit to you Denver! You beautiful (for the most part…LOL) people came out to all seven events in record numbers, rocking excellent taste in music with enthusiasm, great energy and lots of smiles and it was AMAZING!!! FRIDAY, 9/6 -> With Lazy Eyez out of town on official Reminders DJ business this week (he’ll be back next Friday to celebrate his birthday), we’ve got some heavy hitting guests coming by to keep DJ Low Key company.  We’re welcoming extra special guests Solution co-founder Sounds Supreme and youngest in charge DJ Dozen (Welcome to the D.O.P.E. Game), as well as celebrating Denver favorite/the D.O.P.E. Game’s own Turner Jackson and our extra cool homegirl Lindsey’s birthdays.

As if that wasn’t enough, we’re ecstatic to announce that we’ll be featuring food from the test kitchen at the brand new Meadowlark Kitchen (official opening coming later this year) every Friday from here on out.  After a quick menu tasting, we couldn’t be more excited about the tasty food options we’ll be able to feature every single week, frequently changing based on what’s in season to always stay fresh and exciting.  If those weren’t reasons enough to come out to the hip hop party that’s “a testament to quality” (c) Westword, we don’t know what is.  21+ / 9pm / No cover until 11pm / Only $5 after.

SUNDAY at 3PM -> Now that we’re getting into August, it’s starting to to hit me that the days are numbered in the 2013 Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends season and with that said, expect to see more and more good stuff packed into the rest of the Summer (aka plan on being on the Meadowlark’s patio every Sunday for the next 2 months or so…LOL).  On that note, we’ll be fitting 3 guest DJs, 2 birthday parties and a brand new taco into this Sunday.

First off, I’m excited to have one of the best DJs out right now in the spot, LA’s own DJR, winner of this year’s Los Angeles Red Bull Thre3 Style, 2nd place finisher in the 2010 US Thre3 Style Finals in Denver (shouts to Emily!).

He’ll be joined by two of my Denver favorites, Solution co-founder Sounds Supreme and the infamous DJ Squirt.  On top of that, we’ll be celebrating the birthdays of two Goodness regulars, Phill Foster II and Nicole from HipHopRollCall.com.  Last but not least, Moontower Tacos will be debuting the winner of the Goodness Taco Contest, while Denver Dessert Trolley serves up dessert (rumor has it they want to have another ‘twerk for treats’ contest for free desserts).  21+ / No Cover / 3-10pm.

WEDNESDAY, 6/26 -> The Solution Showcase is back at Beauty Bar Denver with another ridiculous lineup of talent from Denver all the way to Brooklynati.  For June’s Solution Showcase #15 we’re featuring Solution favorites and friends of the party, Donwill & Von Pea aka Tanya Morgan (Brooklyn / Lessondary), singer/musician CRL CRRLL, producer DJ Matt Cassidy and Solution co-founders DJ Low Key & Sounds Supreme.  Tanya Morgan will be rocking some brand new joints off their highly anticipated Rubber Souls album with producer 6th Sense and based on everything we’ve hear dso far, Denver is in for a treat.  Carl Carrell will also be performing material from his new CRL CRRLL projects while featured producer DJ Matt Cassidy will be rocking a mix of new and old bangers for your listening pleasure.  Things kick off at 9 and we’ve got complimentary Red Bull Editions (their 3 new flavors) for the first 50 people who come out.  This one has all the makings of a classic, get your $8 pre-sale tickets at Family Affair downtown, at The Solution or Goodness or online next week.  608 East 13th Ave / $10 at the door / 21+ / 9pm.

SUNDAY, 5/12 at 3pm -> I love you Denver, and I can’t thank you enough.  Despite an overcast afternoon and weather in the 50s making me nervous, Cinco De Goodness, the 2013 Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends kickoff party, was packed and INCREDIBLE!!!  A ton of familiar faces came through, the vibe was as perfect as we all remembered and smiles were had all the way around on the Meadowlark’s beautiful patio, just like we’d been looking forward to.

Goodness returns this weekend with Sunday’s forecast calling for a more proper mid 70s and featuring two of my favorite DJs; Houston fixture Dayta (Kracker Nuttz / Good Good Fridays) and Solution co-founder DJ Sounds Supreme joining me on the turntables.  No Que No Tacos Y Mariscos will be back with an expanded menu and on the drink side of things, we’ll be featuring three flavors of our signature agua frescas con Svedka that your momma will love.  Jessica the Solution Bartender and Tara will be serving your drinks with a smile, the music will be incredible and it’s should be another borderline flawless Sunday afternoon at Goodness; hopefully we’ll see you out!  2701 Larimer St / No Cover / 21+.

WEDNESDAY, 4/24 -> With The Solution w/DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez back to weekly status every Friday night and winning awards for it, we realized that Fridays should stay focused on the straight up party vibe at the Meadowlark and decided to move The Solution Showcase and it’s concert/party/beat showcase/etc mixed vibe over to Beauty Bar Denver (608 E. 13th St) so we could have more flexibility and a bigger stage to play with.

UPDATE: Blu, TiRon & Ayomari are canceling /postponing their tour and we’re disappointed to say that because of that they will not be performing at The Solution Showcase #14.  With that said, we’re excited to announce THE LEGENDARY DJ RHETTMATIC of the WORLD FAMOUS BEAT JUNKIES will be taking their place as our out of town special guest instead.  Rhettmatic is a legend in the LA scene, having been a fixture of their nightlife circuit, working with artists like Cypress Hill, The Visionaries & Buff1 while winning quite a few DJ battle titles as well.  Expect him to smash the turntables like only a legend can.

This month’s featured Denver act is recently formed CO supergroup Fly4Wird (aka Babah Fly, DJ Fast 4Ward & Mike Wird) and our featured producer is 2013 Solution Beat Battle winner Spyda T.E.K., who blew a lot of Denver heads away en route to winning the 2013 title.  Solution co-founders DJ Low Key & Sounds Supreme as well as Welcome to the D.O.P.E. WEDNESDAY, 2/27 -> It’s that time of year again.  #TheSolution6 is in full effect and The Solution Beat Battle is back for another year of ridiculous chops, club bangers, head nodders, face scrunchers, and all the other great varieties of beats you hear producers pull out for battles.  Just like last year, a dozen of Denver’s top producers will face off head to head to see who has the best beats in town for prize package including studio time at Denver’s premier record facility, Side 3 Studios, a $200 gear package, a paid guest feature at an upcoming Solution Showcase & more TBA.  As if hearing a dozen of Colorado’s top producers show off their A-game wasn’t enough, we’ve also packed out the bill with some amazing talent, check out the battle’s guest lineup:
